Tazewell County farmers are having trouble controlling the increasing number of coyotes that are killing sheep.
Local officials have been offering a 50 dollar bounty for each coyote killed and government trappers are also working to control the animals.
Animal rights groups, however, say bounties and trappings are cruel and ineffective.
Figures show coyotes are a problem across the state-- they killed more than 400 sheep, just last year.

In an exclusive 60 Minutes interview with CBS's Dan Rather, the father of six-year old Elian Gonzalez made it clear he wants his son to return with him to Cuba. Juan Miguel Gonzalez has been separated from Elian since last November, when the boy survived a boat accident that killed his mother and 10 others. Now the father is embroiled in a heated custody fight over Elian with his Miami relatives ... who claim he abused Elian and his mother back in Cuba. Gonzalez responded to the accusations.
