A plane has crashed in the Philippines with 120 people aboard-
Rescuers who arrived at the site where an Air Philippines jet crashed say there are no signs of survivors.
The Boeing 727-200 left Manila-
It circled (Da-VOW) city before crashing on nearby (Sah-Mahl) in the Southern part of the country.
An airline official says the plane was given a normal maintenance check before taking off and no problems were found.

Freshman righthander Joe Saunders earned A-10 Pitcher of the Week and Rookie of the Week by throwing back to back shutouts including one against Xavier.
He's eight and one so far this season and leads the team with a 3.09 ERA.
Drafted by the Phillies last year, he says choosing college over the minors was the way to go.

Ed Martin, the head football coach of George Washington high school in Danville is at Cornell University Medical Center in New York, where he is being treated for an unspecified heart problem.

At that time, Martin had a valve replaced. But the doctors at Cornell hope to correct his current problem with medication.
Martin has been at GW for 14 years. Before that he coached Brookville for five seasons.

One of the players on the offensive side of the ball who is tough to overlook is redshirt freshman wide receiver Ernest Wilford.
The Richmond native who also played at Fork Union Military Academy is being compared favorably to current Detroit Lion, Herman Moore.
Much of that comparison is sue to his six foot five inch frame. But he also has a tremendous work ethic and he's not afraid to ask questions.
Besides leaning on position coach Tony Ball, Wilford is also looking up to fellow wide out Andre Davis. Both players are excellent track men and both have been playing football a relatively short time.
