(( In a week full of anniversaries from Waco to Oklahoma City the images of Columbine are still fresh, and the emotions still raw.

Its been one year since the massacre that set a terrible new standard for violence in our schools 15 dead, 20 injured -- and today the pain, the memories, and the media are all back.
At the state capitol, it was silence that spoke the loudest on a day when words were hard to come by.
Thousands gathered in a nearby park to give grief a voice -- and victims a cross.
But in this tragedy that played out so publicly, there is little that hasnt been said or done already.

SOT FROM PRINCIPAL OR STUDENT AT PARK MEMORIAL

NAT STUDENTS SINGING COLUMBINE SONG
NARR:
The wounds have had little time to heal. A new chapter in this tragedy continues to unfold almost daily.

This week, more than a dozen families of the victims filed suit against the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department alleging negligence one suit claims it was police who killed their son, not one of the teen gunman.

There is still the ongoing process of a memorial that some hope will be ready by next years anniversary and whether to rebuild the schools library where most of the dead were found.

And there is the seemingly unending process of cataloguing the thousands of items that appeared at makeshift memorials around the school from shreds of paper, to teddy bears everything has been saved.))

((They amaze kids and even some adults - so much so - that scientists --focusing on these fascinating fossils - say they've made a fluke find. A team of experts in North Carolina say they've now discovered the world's first dinosaur specimen with a fossilized heart - more like the heart of a warm-blooded mammal or a bird rather than a reptile.
Sot: presser
Scientists say the dinosaur - really called a "thess-uh-loh-sawr-us" looks remarkably good despite being 66 million years old. One of the scientists and his son found the fragile 600 pound relic 6 years ago on a South Dakota ranch and nicknamed him "willo" -- after the rancher's wife. Enormous - it's not. As dinosaurs go - scientists say it's only the size of a short-legged pony. And a bargain. The North Carolina Museum paid over 300-thousand dollars to have Willo studied and displayed - part of the skull, spine, ribs and tail still embedded as they were found -- for anyone to ooh and ah.
Sot:presser
Finding "willo" marks the first time a dinosaur's cardiac system can be studied. And.. in the great dinosaur debate - this boosts the theory that dinosaurs appear to be more like mammals too. The fossil's on display in North Carolina and is written up in the current issue of Journal Science. Cathy Moss for CBS News, New York.))
