NARR:
But there are serious questions being raised about the governments decision to use force a decision that reportedly brought Janet Reno to tears.

Congressional Republicans are threatening federal hearings -- some going so far as to allege the operation was simply illegal.

The Justice Department quickly countered offering proof a warrant had been issued well in advance of launching Saturdays pre-dawn raid.

But that gave rise to another question why was the raid ordered to take place, while delicate negotiations to end the stand off peacefully were still going on.

The Administration admits the talks were continuing, but were nowhere near an acceptable resolution.

NASA managers called a scrub because high winds kept building at the shuttle landing strip, violating safety rules.
Officials say they're now aiming at a launch tomorrow afternoon -- but the weather forecast is even worse then. Shuttle managers say they may decide to wait until Wednesday for better weather.
The mission is critical. Astronauts plan to replace failing batteries aboard the international space station that are needed to maintain a stable orbit. The shuttle also will use its maneuvering jets to boost the station's sagging altitude.
