(( As the Miami relatives of Elian Gonzalez tried for a fourth time to enter Andrews Air Force Base, US Marshals were at the very same time, whisking Elian and his father away.
The family has remained in seclusion since Saturdays reunion and clearly want to keep it that way leaving the relatives little choice but to wait. GEORGINA CID, COUSIN We haven't been able to see him, we Averett been able to talk to him.
While he's denying RELATIVES a visit, Juan Miguel is inviting others.
Today he asked the US State Department to bring four of Elian's best friends from Cuba to the US apparently preparing for the long haul.
And so is Janet Reno who spent the day defending Saturdays raid in front of a bipartisan group of Senators some of whom are promising controversial hearings that could last for weeks. SEN. CONNIE MACK/R-FL: The issue is whether we as society as a government as a country should authorize the use of force to go into a family house to settle an issue about custody. SEN. CHRISTOPHER DODD, D-CT Lets get back to the real business of this body of the Senate of the United States and not further politicize the life of this infant child!

The case stems from a Nebraska law -- which makes it a crime for doctors to perform such procedures.

The Roanoke Express looked like it got a real bargain when the team acquired Aniket Dhadphale from Greensboro for a player or players to be named later. His first 19 games were extremely productive and then his production dropped in the playoffs.

To add salt to wounds the players to be named later are Duane Harmer and Kris Cantu as part of the Dhadphale deal.
The next ECHL game these two play in they will dawn Greensboro Generals jerseys. Harmer had played five seasons with the Express and is fifth all time in Express career points with 171. He is a two time ECHL all star. He does have a chance to sign with the AHL Providence Bruins for next season, Harmer is playing for Providence in the playoffs at this time.
Cantu played three seasons in Roanoke and the left winger scored 20 game winning goals in that time, a franchise high. He was also a ECHL all-star who scored 76 career goals for Roanoke.

The Charlotte Hornets are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now. They closed the regular season with a flourish and last night they rallied in overtime to beat Phialdelphia and even their best of five playoff series with the Sixers and one game a piece.

But the problem is that very few people in the Queen City seem to care. Last night less than 12 thousand fans showed at the Charlotte Coliseum to watch the team's 108-to-98 win.
