An eight year old boy has died after apparently drowning in a swimming pool over the weekend.
The little boy was attending a religious retreat in Roanoke County with his step father and brothers -- when he turned up missing, Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say he was later found in the swimming pool at the Church of God State Offices.
The boy died later at a local hospital.
Just what happened is still a mystery -- since church officials say the pool is surrounded by a gate and is always locked.
