Instead they were taking part in the Million Mom March in Washington, DCTERMS.

An accident on I-81 has backed up northbound traffic at least two miles near the I-581 interchange.
We know that two vehicles are involved, one of them a tractor-trailer, the other a car, and at least one person in the car is injured.
Traffic on 581 is also backed up, from 81 back to Peters Creek Road. We will have more information as it hecomes available.

The U.S. Forest Service is leading efforts to fight a brush fire that's coming close to a wilderness area.
A forest service official says lightning started the fire yesterday, near the James River Face Wilderness Area.
It's about 10 miles southeast of Natural Bridge.
Local volunteers are assisting federal and state efforts to bring the fire under control.
A helicopter is assisting firefighters on the ground.

Indiana's Reggie Miller and Philadelphia's Matt Geiger have been suspended by the N-B-A for their fight in yesterday's game four of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The suspensions are the result of Matt Geiger's second flagrant foul on Miller during the game. Miller pushed Geiger in the face both players were ejected.
Miller will sit out one game and Geiger two. Geiger was fined 20-thousand dollars and the 76-ers 50-thousand. Miller received a five thousand dollar fine.
Both players will miss game five tomorrow in Indianapolis
