((To watch the traffic flow on Highway 29, it's hard to believe all that happened on this same stretch of roadway just two nights ago. Fans started to leave a NASCAR event...crossing over this pedestrian walkway to get to the parking lot...when it collapsed... an 80 foot span of bridge tumbled to the road below. You can see the terror in these pictures taken by an amatuer photographer....who captured the chaos. Emily Priddy was among the more than 100 people injured in the collapse. The job now is trying to figure out what went wrong... why a walkway just five years old SUDDENLY gave way. Authorities say so far they have found corroded cables in the debris... much like what you would find in a structure closer to a half century old.

Cindy Williams was about 40- feet from the bridge-- waiting on her in-laws when she looked up and saw the walkway collapse.
She says, at first, she didn't hear any screams but up close everything changed.

A woman hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains was apparenlty killed yesterday by black bears.
Glenda Ann Bradley and her ex-husband had hiked about 10 miles from Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Ralph Hill says he left Bradley to go fishing. When he returned an hour later he found two bears a short distance off the trail.
Park Rangers killed the bears.
Authorities say this is the first time a black bear has killed anyone in the federal park.

The Virginia Tech baseball team overcame all kinds of obstacles this season to earn its way into the NCAA tournament. Now they will have to overcome one more as they must travel across the country and battle Southern Cal in Fullerton, California on Friday.
