Despite his recent health ailments, yesterday Billy Graham made his first public appearance this year for a special occasion in our area.
Joy Sutton spoke with Graham in his first on-camera interview since his release from the hospital.

Police say 26 year old Daniel O'Bryant was shot shortly before one A-M yesterday in front of a building on the corner of Franklin and Monument Street.
So far, officials have not arrested anyone but do have a suspect.

Native American history came to life this weekend in Amherst County at the Monacan Indian powow.

The three- day festival is a celebration of Native American culture and heritage.
Members of the local Monacan tribe were on hand to demonstrate storytelling, basket weaving and woodland skills.


School children visiting Friday also got a chance to see a live buffalo up close.

A pedestrian bridge at a North Carolina ractetrack collapsed Saturday night, and investigators still aren't sure of the cause.
They found some corroded steel cables, but haven't determined those to be the source of the weak link.
