Some residents were forced from their homes by the rekindling of one fire in Sarasota County that officials though

Oakland Athletics second baseman Randy Velarde has turned in the tenth regular-season unassisted triple play in major league history.

Velarde had made an error that set up the triple.
New York had Tino Martinez at second and Jorge Posada at first.
Shane Spencer hit a line drive to Velarde for the first out, he tagged Posada who was coming to second for the next out, then stepped on second base to triple-up Martinez who had broken for third.
The Yankees won four to one.

Atlantis glided onto the runway at 2:20 this morning- It was only the 14th time a space shuttle has landed in the dark.
The crew were successful at replacing four batteries inside the international space station.
The 7-member crew also furnished the space station with a new antenna, smoke detectors and boosted the complex into higher orbit.
