Halifax County authorities say an apparent domestic argument led to death.
Investigators say someone shot 56 year old Henry Lionel Link of South Boston.
His wife Mary Link called deputies and stated someone had been shot and she needed a deputy.
That's when officers found Link dead in his home.
Authorities seized several firearms. Charges are pending.

A Danville judge has convicted a man accused of using underaged girls in pornographic material.

25 year old Roger Donovan Freeman of Danville was charged with eight counts, including sodomy, statutory rape and child pornography.
Prosecutors entered about two dozen photographs that include Freeman and two juvenile girls.
Several police officers who served the warrant testified today.
Freeman pled NOT guilty to all charges.
But shortly after closing arguments tonight Judge James Ingram convicted him on all eight counts.
He'll be sentenced June 29th. In the meantime, Freeman will be held in the Danville jail.

Vinton police are collecting information to determine if charges will be filed against Leni (WHIT-MEYER) Whitmire-- the baby sitter caring for two year old Hailey Wilson.
Right now-- Vaught says it appears Hailey wandered off and got past a secured gate gaining access to the swimming pool.
He says what investigators want to know is how the child managed to get out of the house and out of Whitmire's sight... as well as how the toddler got the gate open.
The medical examiner who performed an autopsy today ruled the child died from accidental drowning.

Workers stripping paint are being blamed for starting a fire that damaged a rooming house in Lynchburg this afternoon.
