(( 30-year-old Jeffrey Allen Thomas was led out of court after two hours of witness accounts implicating him in Tara Munsey's death.
Two of his friends took the stand as key witnesses against him.
Barbara Helton said that the morning after Munsey disappeared, a "nervous" Jeff Thomas told her he'd killed her.
[INSERT PRE-PRO QUOTE]
Helton testified: "He said he was stupid, made a mistake ... He kept saying she made him mad ... He said he didn't mean to shoot her."
Helton said Thomas told her he picked Munsey up from work at Taco Bell... drove out to the woods to "party"... tried to make a pass at her ... fought with her ... and then shot her.
Her body was found in a ditch two weeks later.
A forensic scientist testified that her shirt was found nearby ... ripped.
In court, Munsey's parents put their arms around each other as they heard the testimony allegedly recounting their daughter's last moments.
Thomas' friend Kevin Williams said on the stand that he'd left the rifle linked to the murder by authorities in the back of Thomas' car ... just days before the teen was killed.
