Police in Bedford are involved in a standoff at this hour.
There's little information at this point as to what led up to it.
The incident started around 10, near the Carder-Tharp funeral home on North Bridge Street.
A tactical team from the county sheriff's office has been called in to assist, along with Virginia State Police.

Josh Fralin may be released today if his family can afford to pay a 25-thousand-dollar bond.
He is charged with involuntary manslaughter and refusing to stop for police.
He sped through downtown Rocky Mount last weekend before driving off the road into a ditch.
Police say he'd been drinking.
His passenger -- 16-year-old A-J Perdue -- died.
Fralin's trial is July 27th.

Authorities in Pittsylvania County say four dogs attacked an 11-year-old boy last night.
Two chow dogs and two German Shepherds bit the boy on the leg, arm and throat.
He was taken to a hospital in High Point, North Carolina.
No word on his condition.
The incident took place near the boy's home on Medical Center Drive in the Axton area.
Animal control officers and sheriff's deputies are looking for the dogs.

Another four people were seriously injured in the accident that involved two semi- trucks and several other vehicles.
There was heavy rain when the crash occurred yesterday afternoon.
Highway patrol officials say one of the semi's might have blown a tire that set off the chain reaction accident.

Union workers at the Blacksburg Corning plant have ratified a new three- year contract.
The agreement includes annual wage increases, plus improvements in the retirement plan and other benefits.
The Corning plant manufactures ceramic cores for automobile catalytic converters. Its customers include every major car manufacturer in the world. The new labor agreement between Corning and the American Flint Glassworkers Union takes effect immediately. It runs through July 2003.

Viewers can watch the drama unfold-- beginning at 11-20 A-M on April 20th, 19-99 when the first shots rang out.

The recording also shows Eric Harris in white, Dylan Klebold in black surveying the crime scene before turning the guns on themselves.
