Dan River Incorporated has called off a deal with WesTek.
Nearly one month after Dan River Incorporated agreed to purchase most of the assets of the South Carolina based company, Dan River says "certain contingencies contained in the agreement" have not been satisfied.
WesTek produces coated yarns and fabrics in the automotive industry.
The company has two plants in Georgia and corporate offices in South Carolina.
Dan River officials say the company terminated the contract with WesTek because it was the right thing to do.

Virginia is getting the electric chair ready for the first time in two years.
A man set to die next week has picked that method of execution instead of lethal injection.
Russell Burket was convicted of killing a neighbor and the woman's five-year-old daughter in Virginia Beach seven years ago.
Burket's lawyer says his client wants to end his life "with an exclamation mark."
Since lethal injection became available in Virginia, only one of the 52 inmates executed has chosen the electric chair.
