((Well the official Hay Fever season really doesn't start until August when those weed pollens kick in, but you know lots of people are having big problems right now...and you know who's to blame? It's grasses and trees. So what can you do if the allergies are beating you down? Medications such as antihistimines can really help ease your misery but if you dont like taking drugs, your first step is to try to avoid coming into contact with the pollens in the first place...and I know that is hard to do but it's really not impossible, here are a couple of tips.
GRFX First thing to do is to avoid early morning activities. You see pollen counts are usually highest before 10am. You also want to wear sun glasses when you go outside to protect your eyes form pollens. Wash your hands every time you come indoors, that way you dont rub pollens onto your face and before you go to bed, shower and shampoo to wash all the pollens off of you. You may even want to put the clothes you wore that day outside the bedroom. Another tip: keep the pets out of the bedroom because they sometimes carry pollens on their fur. ON CAM Let's say these tips really dont cut the mustard for you...then it's time to go see your doctor to check out some new antihistimines and sprays that can really help you survive the season. I'm Dr. Dave Hnida for CBS News.))
