A third plan for the redistricting of schools in south Roanoke county was unveiled tonight.
But parents still have concerns over busing and splitting up students.

School officials are hoping the third time is a charm for this on going debate.
The school board has taken concerns about the last two plans and created a third plan they hope is a compromise between the other two.

That comment brought applause from parents who are asking the school board to make the best decision when it comes to their children's future. The new high school has brought debate on who will attend it and who will not.
The third plan the school board has come up with, would have students at Back Creek, Oak Grove, and Cave Spring Elementary attend Hidden Valley Junior High and then the new high school. Students at Bent Mountain, Clearbrook, Green Valley, and Penn Forest would attend Cave Spring Junior High and then Cave Spring High School.
Parents say this might be the best plan out of the three to keep students together.

Gray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Tonight the pictures of that crocodile being captured.
Wildlife officials went off shore to capture the crock- pulling it out of the water-
IT took some quick maneuvering to close the croc's jaw and clamp it down with tape.
The croc measured seven feet five inches long- It sunbathed on the beach for three hours yesterday afternoon before swimming back into the water.
The American Crocodile is an endangered species and is considered dangerous- The croc was kept alive- but taken away from the public beach.

The University of Virginia men's basketball program announced last night that fan favorite Colin Ducharme will not return next season for his final year of eligibility with the Cavaliers.

Ducharme started 45 of 61 games in his first two years for the Cavs under head coach Jeff Jones.
But his career took a turn for the worse when he broke his left ankle at the start of the 1998-99 season.
Durcharme took a redshirt medical hardship year and returned last season only to find it tough to break into head coach Pete Gillen's rotation of new recruits.
He played in 29 games but started just two last season and averaged only two points and two rebounds a game.
He finishes his UVa career with 472 points and ranked 6th on the school's career blocked shot list.
The Richmond native graduated from UVa last month and lived last year on the lawn.

((A month ago, Avalanche pitching coach Bob McClure began using a new teaching aid to help his pitchers. It's called focus through visualization. McClure makes his pitchers throw threw a series of boxes made of string. 15 feet across, the contraption has two boxes of varying size. It's amazing what some simple twine can do.

McClure first learned this new technique two years ago at spring training. The young Avalanche pitching staff is realizing the game is not just about strikeouts. The athlete is forced to work on placement and control.

Former William Byrd star Jenny Mitchell, who was an All-ACC performer during her playing day at Wake Forest is coming back to Commonwealth to coach.
Mithcell was named an assistant basketball coach for the women's team at JMU yesterday.
Mitchell has coached at Missouri-Kansas City college, VCU and most recently at East Carolina.

Six Red Baron stunt pilots fly around the country in open-air cockpit planes from the 1940s.
Their daredevil performances help raise money for kids' charities.
Miracle Flights for Kids helps fly sick children and their families to hospitals.
Red Baron is donating money from pizzas bought in this area to the charity.
