A fellow inmate had changed his story- -said he lied when he told the jury Bramblett had admitted "choking the life out" of Teresa Hodges.
She and her husband and their two children were found dead in their Vinton home in 1994.
The court denied Bramblett's appeal last week for a second time.
His attorneys notified the court today that they intend to ask for a rehearing.

A Lear twin engine jet crashed into a smaller experimental plane- killing four people- three aboard the Lear jet.
Authorities say the pilot of the smaller plane apparently tried to jump from the aircraft after the collision- His body was found wrapped in a parachute.
The planes' debris landed in a golf course community.
No one on the ground was hurt-
The Lear Jet had just taken off from the airport in Boca Raton.

An elderly Lynchburg man was injured when a runaway truck rolled over him this afternoon.

76- year- old Jesse Gilbert was unloading a lawnmower from the back of a friend's pickup when the truck's parking brake apparently failed.
The vehicle crushed a cinder block, rolled over Gilbert's leg and ended up hitting a tree.
He's still being treated at Lynchburg General Hospital.
No charges will be filed.

Investigators are looking into the accidental death of a Salem man at a Montgomery County quarry this this morning.

Sheriff's deputies say 47-year-old Gary McKee was crushed when a 15-hundred pound tire fell on him.
It happened at the Acco (ACK-O) Stone Quarry on Jennelle Road.
McKee is an employee of Brad Ragan tire company. He was servicing the large tires on a piece of heavy-duty construction machinery.
Workers at the quarry found him pinned between the tire and his truck.
He died before he reached the hospital.
The U-S Department of Labor is investigating the accident.

Graham's dad told News 7 sports last night that Shayne has signed a free agent contract with the Saints.

Yesterday afternoon the team signed its leading goal scorer from a season ago, Ben Schust. He will be back for his third season in Roanoke next year after racking up 27 goals last year. Schust had a total of 52 points last season.

The Salem Avalanche continues to roll. Last night the team won its second in row to start the second half beating Frederick 7-to-5. Lynchburg lost to Winston Salem 10-to-2.
