An Amherst County teenager is still being held without bond after allegedly shooting and killing his mother and wounding his father last night.

Police say the Maddox's 15-year old son shot his mother several times, then waited for his father to come home from work.

A judge appointed an attorney to represent the 15- year- old. He remains held without bond in the Lynchburg juvenile detention home.
Police say the teen has "not" said why he shot his parents.

21-year-old Rosetta Clark pleaded "no contest" to the misdemeanor in Blacksburg General District Court.
The judge sentenced her to serve 20 days of a 180-day jail term.

The infant was discovered in March, wrapped in plastic bags inside a dumpster at Clark's apartment complex.
Police say she called them to her apartment because she couldn't stop her bleeding.
A trail of blood led them from her apartment to the dumpster.

23-year old Samantha Miller of Richmond was arrested one week before the pageant began.

The Pageant Director says he first heard of Miller's arrest Sunday afternoon.

A SWAT team negotiator has talked to the man and has confirmed he is armed.

The 378 room hotel has been evacuated.

A Danville man convicted of using underaged girls in pornographic material will spend more than seven years in prison.

A judge, this morning, decided to suspend Roger Donavan Freeman's 25 year prison sentence and give him seven and a half years instead.
He will also be on probation for three years, receive counseling and enter into the sex offender program.
The 25 year old felon was convicted last month of sodomy, statutory rape and child pornography.
Freeman said he was sorry for what he did to the girls and their families.

Unfortunately the goal is to stay on it. The St. Peters Fiesta Day in Gloucester hosted its annual "Greasy Pole Contest" yesterday.
The 70 year old tradition is a competition that challenges contestants to be the first to run successfully across the entire length of a 33 foot pole.
They have to reach a flag that sits at the end of the run.
The pole is coated with enough grease to successfully hinder the contestants' efforts to grab the pole position.
