Albright is a native of Czechoslovakia, who fled her homeland in 1948.
She related her own excitement as she sailed into New York harbor as a immigrant herself. Judges J- Harry Michael and Chief Judge Samuel Wilson swore in 69 new citizens at the home of Thomas Jefferson, the man who wrote the declaration we celebrate today.

Police in Danville entered an unlocked apartment today .. and found a murder victim on the floor.
Police say 26 year old Early Wayne Watlington appeared to have stab wounds to the back and a trauma wound to the head.
Officers were called to Watlington's apartment after relatives said they wanted to check on him.
Danville police are asking anyone with information on the case to give them a call.

Hornets' star Antony Mason is out of jail tonight after a run-in with police in the Big Easy.

Last night Mason was arrested in the French Quarter section of New Orleans. Witnesses say two groups of men were arguing over women on Bourbon Street. When two policemen tried to separate the groups, the 6 foot 8, 270 pound Mason hit one of the cops and began firing up the crowd. He was finally subdued and charged with inciting a riot, battery on police officers and resisting arrest. Mason's agent says his client is innocent.

This morning, 18 year old Serena Williams ousted Lisa Raymond in an ambush. The eighth seed won 6-2 and 6-love in match that lasted just 41 minutes. Serena then headed to center court to watch older sister Venus try to upset top seed Martin Hingis. This match would take two hours and 13 minutes, but Venus was up to the challenge as she beat Hingis 6-3, 4-6 and 6-3, as her dad Richard Williams and Serena celebrated. Venus and Serena will now meet each other in the semi-finals on Thursday.

Jamie Price was a star athlete at Patrick Henry and later a member of South Carolina's 4 by 100 meter relay team that won the national championship in the late 90's. Last year he suffered through an 0-and-11 season under Lou Holtz.
