Carmel Brown died last August at their home on the outskirts of Vinton.
She was sitting in her vehicle inside the garage. She died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
BILL Brown reported her death to the Vinton Police Department- -where he worked at the time.

A release from the county prosecutor's office says "no evidence has been found at this time to contradict the findings of the medical examiner."
The M-E ruled Carmel Brown's death was an accident.

40-year old Clyde Scott Pruitt is charged with the shooting death of Chris Gill of Danville.

Investigators say Pruitt kicked in the door of the Gill's home on Westover Drive and shot him in the chest last Thursday.
Gill was friends with the suspect's estranged wife.
