That's because the prisoners - all from Connecticut - have been transferred out of Wallens Ridge state prison to the Greenville Correctional Center in Jarratt.

Officials say the transfers are unrelated to complaints in Connecticut about how inmates were treated at the super-maximum security prison. A Connecticut Department of Corrections spokesman says the transferred inmates who were moved are among the more well-behaved prisoners.

More people have been arrested in connection with a moonshine operation. Earlier this week, 20 people in Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania were charged as result of a 2-year investigation dubbed "Operation Lightning Strike."

Several Franklin County men were indicted.
The indictment alleges between 19-85 and May of last year, Farmers Exchange country supply store in Rocky Mount supplied moonshine operations with sugar, jugs and other equipment used to make the liquor.

Charges are pending against a driver involved in a fatal accident in Franklin County this morning.
Police say a Nissan carrying four people crossed the center line of Route 116 near Windy Gap and hit a Toyota head-on.
A passenger in the Nissan.... 29-year-old Gloria Dianne Rogers, was killed.
Police believe alcohol was involved.
The driver's name has NOT been released.

Police have questioned the driver of a tractor-trailer involved in yesterday's fatal accident on I-81 near the Arcadia exit.
A Virginia Beach woman was killed when she attempted to change lanes to get out of the way of an aggressive driver.
She hit the tractor trailer and crossed the median, hitting another car.
Police say they're still searching for the aggressive driver - who was belived to be driving a black sports car with Florida license plates.

The remains will be taken next week to a U-S army laboratory in Hawaii for identification.

A ten-man crew had to rappel down the steep mountainside on Maui because it was too steep for a helicopter to land.

The chopper crashed yesterday during a sightseeing tour of the island.

Dale Earnhardt Junior had some bad luck during practice today. He crashed his car and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for a precautionary CAT scan.
After a brief visit to the hospital Junior was released and returned to the track for the final practice before tomorrow's race.
Little E will start at the rear of the field in a back up car.
