Rick Foutz is suing the town of Vinton, demanding ten-point-two million dollars because he says town officials forced him to resign. Today he asked that one of the town's attorneys --(Og-NEES Shockra- Vortey) Agnis Chakravorty -- be disqualified .. since the two served the town together and were close friends. Chakravorty says he never saw Foutz socially and only learned about his resignation in the newspaper. The judge says there's no conflict of interest and let Chakravorty stay on the case.

Police believe a woman stabbed the man she lived with ..before stabbing and killing herself.
Deputies responding found 32 year old Tracie Pamela Renegar dead in the home.
They also found 46-year old David Lester Rose- he was taken to
Twin County Regional Hospital where he underwent surgery.

At the time, the gunman said someone was hurt.

Two hostages escaped Saturday- Two others made it out alive today.
The gunman-who died today- was wanted for the Friday shooting death of a convenience store clerk.

Karen Harvey's basketball camp at Hollins officially joining forces with the All-Star Clinics of the Roanoke Valley today. The same people that put on George Lynch's basketball camp and The Barber's football camp are now reaching out to young girls in the valley.

Former UVa star Curtis Staples just wrapped up his "Quick Release" girls basketball camp and is now looking to shine up his passport.

Staples held the camp in Lynchburg and has gone to great lengths, through news conferences and publicity, to promote the girls he coaches. Now Staples is promoting himself. He has recently signed a one year contract to play pro basketball overseas in the Italian league for Team Benetton. Staples says it's a guaranteed seven figure deal.

A single-engine aircraft towing an advertising banner landed in the carpool lanes on the Harbor freeway in Los Angeles.
Local T-V stations report no one was hurt.
The plane did not hit any vehicles on the freeway and didn't appear to have any damage.
