Nearly 7 percent of its work force will be let go over the next year to revive growth and reduce costs.

There's still the question of the repair work done to one of the engines just before the flight began.
Investigators are also looking at whether a tire may have exploded on take-off.
Meanwhile, Air France employees attended a service in memory of their fallen colleagues and passengers.
All the victims' bodies have been recovered from the crash site.
Authorities have seized the jet's repair records and questioned mechanics as part of a criminal investigation that may result in charges of involuntary manslaughter.
113 people died when the Concorde crashed into a hotel.

Pledge was indicted a week ago, accused of racketeering and drug trafficking.
