The department of transportation says Valley View Road - Route 682 - and Crowells Gap - Route 657 - in Boones Mill will remain closed until morning. A-E-P is working to restore electricity to about 80 families along Starlight Lane and Back Creek Road. They hope to have the power back on by Midnight.

State police say speed and heavy rain contributed to a pileup on Interstate 81 that sent 12-people to the hospital.
Troopers say all 12 are in stable condition tonight.
The accidents happened in Pulaski County near Draper around three.
A Kentucky man has been charged with reckless driving.
State police say he was going too fast, hydroplaned, jumped the median and hit a truck.
That collision caused several more behind it.

The French government says one of the tires on the Air France Concorde that crashed a week ago blew out on take off.

30- thousand dollars in jewelry would be in the hands of thieves tonight if it weren't for two customers.

Their quick thinking was put to the test last night at Henebry's jewelry in Valley View Mall.
The manager was working with a customer when she noticed a man with his hand in a display case and yelled for him to stop.
The suspect tried to leave the store when customer Drew Settle grabbed the bag from him.
It turns out the bag contained thousands of dollars in diamond rings.
Police believe the suspect was able to open the display case using keys he'd stolen from another Henebry's store.

The Washington Redskins will open the preseason this Friday night against the same team they ended last season against - Tampa Bay. Head coach Norv Turner says that running back Stephen Davis will not play against the Bucs.

The American Association for Nude Recreation is hosting its annual convention at De Anza Springs resort.
15 hundred delegates are expected to meet by the end of the week at the 525 acre desert site.
The delegates say it is fun and practical... the only thing they have to worry about is getting an even tan.
