The runoff from the rain also led to some evacuations from the Rising Star sports camp on Yellow Mountain Road.
Parents who had children at the camp can pick them up at Clearbrook Elementary School.
Roanoke County authorities are keeping an eye on other low-lying spots in that area.
Maggodee Creek near Boones Mill is out of its banks and flooding the highway, although traffic is still able to move.

Oakland Baptist Church is tearing down its old sanctuary to make room for a family life center. The congregation currently gathers in a sanctuary built in the 1960's. It was then that the old sanctuary was converted to the first family life center. Now, some forty years later, a new fifteen hundred square feet addition will be constructed where the old sanctuary used to stand. Church officials and congregation members gathered around to watch the demolition take place this morning.
