Stephen Davis, Bruce Smith and Darrell Green did not play last night. But Deion Sanders did start, and he had a tough time keeping up with big Keyshawn Johnson. The two went one on one in the first quarter. Another new acquisition, running back Adrian Murrell played well in the opening period. This run helped set up Washington's only points of the half - a field goal. Newcomer Jeff George wasn't nearly as productive. He came on in the second quarter and threw two interceptions - both of which went to Dexter Jackson. Speaking of interceptions - Ronde Barber almost got one in the first half as he breaks up the pass from Brad Johnson to Albert Connell. Rookie linebacker Lavar Arrington was anxious, aggressive and often out of position. This time he leaps for air, misses the ball carrier as Tampa Bay scores on the short TD run. The Skins would end up losing this thing 13-to-12 as rookie Joe Hamilton out of Ga. Tech tossed this TD pass in the closing minutes.
