Amy Whisler was driving near the Arcadia exit on July 21 when witnesses saw a man tailgating her car. Whisler attempted to change lanes, but she hit a tractor trailer and flipped her car in the median. Her parents say they are searching for answers and want the man responsible to come forward.

A man who killed his brother agreed to go to jail -- even though a jury refused to convict him.

Roger (Bruff-man) Broughman shot his brother Rocky one night last January because he says, Rocky reached for a gun. A jury could not agree on a conviction -- so, rather than face a second trial and a possible murder conviction, Broughman pleaded guilty to manslaughter. He will serve six months in jail. A firearms charge was dropped as part of the plea agreement.

Investigators think they may have found the cause of last month's Concorde crash-

They say a strip of metal that they've found on the runway where the jet took off probably punctured one of the jet's tires.
And they say the debris would have turned into a projectile- damaging part of the plane's wing including some fuel tanks.
The result investigators say was a big fuel leak and a fire.
The plane was in flames as it left the ground- and crashed into a hotel not far from the airport-
113 people were killed in the crash.

At a press conference this morning, the group focused on one family. Sandra McCain has a daycare in her home. She says she called 911 after being attacked by a parent. After officers arrived they arrested Mccain who is black instead of the parent who is white.

Carmike Cinemas filed bankruptcy yesterday. The company says they've been "over screening" the U-S by building too many new giant mega-plexes while failing to close enough older, underperforming screens.
Carmike has 85 screens in Virginia and three theaters in the Roanoke Valley.
Managers at those theaters say it's business as usual, for now.
The company IS undergoing major re-organization.
No word yet on how many theaters will close.

It appears that last month's explosion WON'T keep Pulaski County High School from opening on time.

Officials say natural gas and electricity sparked the explosion that destroyed the school's mechanical room.
It took out the electricity, air conditioning, water and gas.
But the room's being rebuilt quickly.
School officials expect to have water and electricity restored before classes start August 23rd.
They'll have fresh air blowing through the air ducts until the air conditioning is back on line.
In the meantime, classes will get out at 1:30.

Many doctors use music to help ease the tension in the operating room, but a Texas hospital has taken that one step further. It uses live musicians. Terisa Estacio has more.

operating room. But, here in San Antonio, Texas they are part of a study examining the possible healing effects music may have on a patient undergoing surgery.
So far, the results on recorded music are sound.
