Carroll County public school students are getting an extra week of summer vacation.
Five elementary schools in the county are still under construction. Parents convinced the school board to delay the start date for safety reasons.
The first day for all students has been pushed back from this Thursday, August 17, to next Thursday, the 24th.
Celanese and union negotiators have averted a strike in Giles County and say they'll go back to the bargaining table this week.

The church does not have enough insurance to cover the inside of the 70 year old building.

The roof collapsed.

But in jail on other charges, DeMoranville told police of the plan, testified against his former cohort, and walked away with three years' probation.
Chapman's family lashed out at prosecutors for cutting a deal with DeMoranville.

Brooks was traded to New Orleans back on August 1st, and he was immediately thrown into the battle playing in both preseason games against the Vikings and the Colts.

He's trying to play within himself and show the Saints coaches he's ready for that opportunity.

The two are studying to be paramedics.
While on vacation in Florida in June, they witnessed a serious car accident.
They responded, and found 37-year-old Michael Herberger of Buffalo not breathing.
Hartman and Hess revived him .. They say the first ambulance didn't arrive for 30 minutes - if they hadn't been there, Herberger would've died.
