Keith, fire investigators are not saying much about the cause of the fire - only that the blaze was no accident.

Investigators are saying the August 13th fire that burned throughout this historical church is suspicious.
The Danville Fire Department is handling the investigation. And NOW the Danville Police Department is getting involved.
And officers tell me they get involved only when they suspect it's arson.
Last week we saw investigators taking debris from the scene. That's being tested at a forensic lab in Roanoke. Those results could come back next week.

Flames heavily damaged the store.
Now federal, state and local agencies are trying to find out who's responsible.
The owner, Michael Marvin Harris was charged and convicted of selling and dealing cocaine through his store. He was sentenced to seven years in prison six months ago.

Rescue crews struggled to get 81 year old John White out of his car. It was difficult because he was upside down and the delivery truck landed partly on top of his vehicle.

Taylor Junior Solomon's vehicle hit the guardrail about a mile north of the state line on Route 220 in Henry County. The 43-year old victim went halfway through the windshield. Because he works third shift at Sara Lee in North Carolina, Trooper Matthew Tatum suspects Solomon may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

Union leaders say they are planning a rally in New York State to support those who haven't returned to work under a new contract.
52 thousand workers in New York and New England went back to work on Monday, leaving 35 thousand in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia on the lines.
A spokeswoman for the union says the decision to send members back to work was a "miscommunication" as CWA-North assumed CWA-South bargainers were ready to sign a deal.
Local members say they are holding out for a contract that bans mandatory overtime.

A federal investigation of Roanoke City Schools has reportedly found civil rights violations.
According to the Roanoke Branch of the N-double-A-C-P- -which requested the federal study more than a year ago- -the U-S Department of Education has given the city school administration until the end of September to come up with a plan to address the findings.
Among the areas of concern: investigators reportedly found too many minority students being placed in special ed and not enough in gifted programs.

But could he survive in the outback when CBS launches its second Survivor series next January.

Yesterday, while working in his yard Elliott suffered a fractured kneecap in an accident at his home.
Team spokesman David Ferroni said Elliott tripped on something and landed on his knee. He underwent a 90 minute surgical procedure to repair multiple fractures of the left kneecap.

Another trade and Billy Owens is with his second team this year.
Today, The Milwaukee Bucks obtained guard Lindsey Hunter from Detroit for Owens. Hunter had played his entire seven year career with the Pistons and averaged 12 points and four assists last season.
It's the second time Owens has been traded this summer.
