Search efforts continued through the night in Montgomery County for a hiker missing since Saturday. 23 year old Micheal Shavro of Blacksburg was dropped off near Bob Cat lane Saturday morning for an overnight hike. A fifteen year old Callaway boy died in a four wheeler accident in Franklin County.
State police say Clinton Wayne Young was on an a-t-v near his home late yesterday afternoon when the accident happened.
Troopers say the teenager pulled onto route 640 in front of a pick up truck and was knocked into the path of another vehicle.
Young was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Young was not wearing a helmet.

Hundreds of workers are losing their jobs temporarily at Ford factories, following the massive tire recall.

The workers will be back on the job once there are enough replacement tires to fill the need.

Officials from Ford and Bridgestone- Firestone are also preparing for next week's Congressional hearing.
The committee's chairman says he wasn't happy with the way the recall was handled.

The company has a customer base of more than three-and-a-half million people in Virginia and West Virginia.

The stretch of Wiley Drive through Smith Park has been closed for over a year while crews worked on the sewer interceptor project.
That work is complete, but the city has held off on re-opening the road until speed humps and other traffic control measures can been installed.
City officials say they're now working on a construction plan to finish those improvements, which they hope will be completed by the end of the year.

The ruling says the department could face trial under a federal racketeering law.

The L-A police chief says while the ruling might imply it, the department is NOT a criminal enterprise.

Supervisors say V-DOT should be subject to the same procedures as anyone who puts up a cell-phone tower.
