It's spread by devices such as fountains, spas, and air-conditioning units that contain water.

The Reverend Jesse Jackson is scheduled to visit Roanoke on Sunday to campaign for Senator Chuck Robb and the national Democratic ticket.
Jackson is also visiting Richmond and Norfolk, before his Two PM appearance at the Marketplace Center downtown in Roanoke.
Organizers say Jackson is working to mobilize Democratic voters for the November elections.

Firestone tires are supposed to be recalled, but reports tonight that some used tire dealers are selling the recalled tires.

((This is what's supposed to happen when a recalled Firestone tire is taken off the road. Dealers should slash it or drill a hole in the sidewall. SO THAT THE TIRE CANNOT BE RESOLD OR REUSED IN THAT FASHION-- THIS TIRE IS JUNK. But CBS affiliate K-I-R-O in Seattle found some of these dangerous tires are rolling right back onto the highways. The station went undercover several times to five Seattle stores. Three dealers repeatedly sold them used recalled tires. In some cases, customers were not told the tires were part of the recall. One dealer even installed them for free. BUT THERE ARE REPORTS OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE NOT VICTIMS-- THEY'RE CON-MEN...WHO, WITH THE HELP OF UNSCRUPULOUS DEALERS, PAID TO HAVE CHEAP RECALLED TIRES PUT ON THEIR VEHICLES...SO THEY COULD DRIVE RIGHT TO A FIRESTONE SHOP AND DEMAND A NEW, EXPENSIVE SET OF TIRES. Meanwhile CBS news has learned that not all of the 47 million tires under investigation carry the Bridgestone- Firestone name.
Federal investigators say the suspect tires have been sold under as many as three dozen different names- including American Prospector, Daytona Radial, Stag, peerless Force-4 and Widetrack Radial Baja. A complete listing can be found at CBS-dot com.

An Appomattox woman shot her husband then dumped his body on the side of a road. Today she was sentenced to decades in prison.

A judge today sentenced 30-year old Sandra Olivarri to a total of 44 years in prison for the murder of her husband.
Nick Olivarri was shot several times in the head, following an argument in the couple's home near Concord in September, 1998.
His wife and another MAN then dumped Olivarri's body in Campbell County where it went undiscovered for several days.
Sandra Olivarri pled guilty to second degree murder in March.

Former Vinton Police Chief Ricky Foutz won his battle in court earlier this week. He will be allowed to pursue his case against the town of Vinton.
Judge James Turk denied the town's motion to dismiss Foutz's lawsuit.

Residents say putting the pipelines beside one another would save land from being clear-cut.
Virginia Gas and Roanoke Gas would use the new pipeline to bring more natural gas to the Roanoke area.
Roanoke Gas says putting the lines along side one another is only a short-term solution to the increasing demand for natural gas.
