State Health Officials are trying to determine if the two cases of Legionnaires disease in Covington were contracted from the same source.

For those who contract the disease flu-like symptoms appear within 2 to 10 days after exposure, and within a day or so the person starts getting chills and high fever, that's usually above 102. It can lead to pneumonia.
Fatality rates have been as high as 39 percent and it's generally even higher for those with weakened immune systems.

The owner of the existing pipeline, says it is willing to share the current easement.
The protestors say Virginia Gas should not have gotten permission to clear-cut a new easement without landowner consent.

And a police spokesman says the three have now been eliminated as suspects.
50- year- old John Milton Bird was found stabbed to death in a Myrtle Beach hotel room on Tuesday morning.
Police say they have strong leads and remain confident they will make an arrest.

A judge today sentenced 30- year- old Sandra Olivarri to a total of 44 years in prison for the murder of her husband.
Nick Olivarri was shot several times in the head, following an argument in the couple's home near Concord in September, 1998.
His wife and another MAN then dumped Olivarri's body in Campbell County where it went undiscovered for several days.
Sandra Olivarri pled guilty to second degree murder in March.

Dallas quarterback Troy Aikman will not play in Monday night's game against the Washington Redskins.
The 33 year old Aikman suffered the 8-th concussion of his career in week 1 against Philadelphia.
