The proposed pipeline would run from Christiansburg to Roanoke.
People who live near the proposed route want Virginia Gas to place it directly alongside another pipeline already in place, one owned by another company, Duke Energy.
Now Virginia Gas and Roanoke Gas must decide which option they think is best.
[Double Boxes=Kimberly & Jennifer/Microwave]

Jennifer Miele is at Roanoke Gas today with residents who are urging the companies to co-locate the pipelines.

Kim, in a letter to Virginia Gas, Duke Energy offered three placement options for the pipeline: share an easement permanently, share it during construction, or co-locate the two for a 30 mile stretch.
Joining me now is a local resident, Brent Riley.
Brent are these options good for local residents?
[SUPER=01-Brent Riley/Pipeline Opponent]

Roanoke Gas says these solutions will only solve problems in the short run, do you agree?
Were you notified of the project plans before they were approved?
I understand there is some legislation in the works to prevent that from happening again.
Thank you Brent Riley.
