When the Hokies were scheduled to play Georgia Tech-- rain and lightning left thousands of fans seeking cover.
School officials say an emergency plan was in place but Tech's P-A system wasn't completely hooked up because crews had been installing the stadium's new video system.
Since then-- Virginia Tech and local authorities have developed an improved evacuation system and posted it on the school's web site.
