A man and woman charged with holding a Wythe County couple hostage in their home for 9 hours last April entered guilty pleas this morning.

21-year-old Angel Tanner and her boyfriend, 37-year-old Dennis Lewis, plead guilty to kidnapping, carjacking and a string of other charges.
The charges result from a two-day crime spree that began in Tennessee and ended in Wythe County last April.
The couple surrendered after a 9-hour standoff with authorities inside the home of Ricky and Toni Sexton. No one was injured.

The U-S Supreme Court says it will NOT hear the anti- trust case against Microsoft.
The justices say a federal appeals court should hear the case, which threatens to break up the software giant.
That's what Microsoft wanted.
The company hopes to overturn a federal judge's ruling that it engaged in illegal and anti-competitive conduct.

Two of the shooting victims injured Friday night at the Backstreet Cafe remain in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Iris P. Webb is listed in very serious condition this afternoon and John W. Collins is in stable condition.
Kathy Caldwell is one of four victims now recovering at home.

Caldwell has a bullet wound in her right shoulder, and the damage to her right hand will likely require surgery.
