The walkway at Lowe's Motor Speedway in North Carolina is being repaired - four months after a portion of it collapsed - injuring more than 100 people.
A couple from Salem was there the night it happened, and is still recovering.

They were trying to leave Lowe's Motor Speedway early so they wouldn't have to sit in traffic. But after a few steps on the bridge they heard two loud pops and then the bridge collapsed.

When emergency crews pulled Jeff from the concrete they found not only was his back broken, but his neck and ankles were fractures. Jody's left foot was crushed and her right foot was broken.

Recovery has been slow for the Hill's. Both spent several weeks in the hospital, in wheel chairs, and in physical therapy. While they were gone friends built a ramp to the front door of their new home. Now months later both are able to walk but there is still a long road to recovery. Philadelphia heiress, she could have lived a life of privlidge. Instead

Some 70 years BEFORE the civil rights movement, she was building
schools to educate Native American and African American children -
teaching tolerance in the face of threats from the Klan.

But its what the Vatican now believes Katharine Drexel did AFTER
her death in 1955, that raised her to the level of Saint.

Then the full display, with fireworks teams from several countries in on the show

At tonights closing ceremonies the international Olympic committee
put its seal of approval on Sydney.
The had already called the games at 10 out of 10 and as is customary,
the games were declared the best ever.
Spectators from around the world agreed.
The next olympics will be the winter games in salt lake city.
