Your tour of the grounds includes a peak inside Henry's home, complete with some of his furnishings, and allows you to roam freely through his office and gardens. Just down the hill is a small, unassuming plot of land marked by a smattering of graves. This is where Henry lies, along with his first wife. Several other family members are laid to rest a few feet away.
And don't forget to check out the museum where you can gaze upon an artist's rendition of Henry in oratory action and admire the instruments he played in his few free hours.
You can also marvel at some of the writings that set Henry apart from his fellow revolutionaries.
You'll leave Red Hill with an appreciation for a man who valued his freedom and felt a duty to give back to the country he helped create. In a real sense, Patrick Henry's words echo, not only through the woods of Red Hill, but around the globe.
