Investigators found it in the trunk of a junked car near an abandoned house off Sandy Flats Road.

They're not releasing her name or the details of how she was killed, because they say it could compromise the investigation.
Sources tell News-7 that it was an 18-year-old woman from Pennsylvania who had been missing for several days. Investigators believe her body may have been in the trunk for one to two days.
It's been sent to the medical examiner's office in Roanoke for an autopsy and full identification.
Investigators say no one who lives near where the body was found is a suspect.

The House has passed the final version of a bill that provides three million dollars.

A Radford man is in jail tonight following an eleven hour standoff with police yesterday.

Christopher Demoranville was released from the hospital this afternoon after being treated for a self-inflicted wound.

Tonight, he's in the same jail as a friend he helped put away with his testimony.
DeMoranville and Derrick Chapman plotted to kill a Montgomery County Circuit Court judge last year.
DeMoranville told police about it and got three years probation.
Chapman was sentenced to nine years in prison.
Police say this time, DeMoranville could face prison time for the standoff and violating probation.

Womack posted his second consecutive 100 yard effort in the Cavs win over Maryland.
He carried the ball 29 times for 133 yards, out rushing the entire Terrapin team.

UVA coaches are taking a wait and see attitude towards Quarterback Dan Ellis' strained hamstring.
He won't practice today.

Ellis was injured with less than two minutes remaining in the first half when his pass was picked off by Shawn Forte.
Ellis didn't play the second half and finished the game six for six, with 148 yards and one touchdown.
