A Franklin County man and a woman are charged with murdering a Pennsylvania woman.

The plant's general manager said he could not address the layoffs until after all shifts had been notified.
Other N-R-B managers did not return calls for comment.

The starting salary for a teacher in Bedford County is 26-thousand dollars - that's at least 5-thousand dollars less a year than a first year teacher makes in Roanoke County. As a result Bedford County has lost 50 percent of its teaching staff over the last 3 years.
