Late this afternoon, officers searched the home of James William Bowers.
Roanoke police spokeswoman Shelly Alley tells us Bowers is suspected of tainting meat with antifreeze that several neighborhood dogs ate. Some dogs became sick, and one died.

The 15 and 16-year-old boys were served today with petitions to appear in court. They both live in Northwest Roanoke.

But Habitat's executive director says the loss means seven families' homes may be put on hold.

It says "Gore- 2000", but the picture is of Gore's opponent, George W. Bush.
A Charlotte advertising agency says it's responsible for the mistake, but the billboard may stay up for a few more days.
