The Roanoke County Supervisors have voted to hire 20 additional paid fire and rescue personnel.
But some county residents still have questions and concerns about the plan.
Joe Dashiell has more on the vote... and the controversial decisions that are still ahead.

County officials say no decisions have been made on where the additional staff members will serve.
A task force that includes representation from all of the fire and rescue companies will make that decision once the new employees have been trained.

Another issue that must still be decided is fee for service... whether to charge county residents for ambulance calls.
The supervisors say they have a large enough budget surplus to pay for the new positions, so they've delayed a decision on that issue for several months.
