Flu season is right around the corner. And for many that means time to get a flu shot.
But that's not so easy this year.
Manufacturers say they WILL have an adequate supply of the medicine, it will just be DELAYED getting to doctors.
However some people are upset. They feel the shots are not going to the neediest patients first.
[ANCHOR=JEAN 2 shot]

Health Check Reporter Joy Sutton has more on why it's available at some locations and not at others.
[ANCHOR=Joy 2 shot]

Jean,
State Health officials say the reason is because only two of the four licensed manufactures of the flu vaccine are supplying it right now.
[ANCHOR=JOY FULL]
[SUPER=@JOY1;]
[GRAPHIC=None]

All of the manufactures had problems with growing a strain of the virus this year.
But two of the manufacturers also had problems with the Food and Drug Administration and that slowed production even further. And News 7 talked with one of the manufactures today --who says there are now only three suppliers, because one company has closed down.
Customers who used those companies, like the health department, are still waiting. But those who used other drug companies, have had their supplies for weeks.
