The Bush Presidential campaign is working on damage control after a T-V reporter reveals a drunk- driving conviction from the 19-70s.
We'll have the latest.
And a change of brand names for the former Tultex distribution center in Martinsville...
Another day of sunny skies and warm temperatures... for the moment... but a change is expected very soon. A cooler weekend is in store.
All that just ahead on News 7 at noon.
A drunk driving arrest 24 years ago comes back to haunt Republican presidential candidate George W- Bush.
[GRAPHIC=George W. Bush]
Good Afternoon, I'm Kimberly McBroom.
The revelation comes just days before next week's election.
Bush says he was arrested for D-U-I in 19-76, when police stopped him in Maine for driving too slowly.
While the Al Gore campaign says it had nothing to do with leaking the story, Bush questions the timing of the revelation.
Opinions are mixed as to what effect the incident, that's been a secret until now, will have on the Bush campaign.
Drew Levinson joins us now with the latest from Michigan, where Bush is stumping for votes today.
