City attorney John "Bunny" Spiers (Spy-ers) was 74 years old.
He wrecked while riding his motorcycle in Carroll County nearly two weeks ago.
Spiers passed away Tuesday in a North Carolina hospital.
His funeral will be held Saturday at Grace Episcopal Church in Radford.
