The ball is back in the Rising Star Sports and Adventure Camp's court now, in July, a Circuit Court judge found the Rising Star Sports and Adventure Camp guilty of violating county zoning guidelines. Now, the Board of Supervisors has given the camp permission to continue operating. Meredyth Censullo reports.

But "getting it over with" didn't come easy. Pollock had to hammer out an agreement with the camp's neighbors to make the facility aesthetically fit in the otherwise agricultural area .. And then there's the issue of the Roanoke Steam.

In the past, the arena football team has used Rising Star's athletic fields for some practices. The Supervisors say the team - and ONLY that professional team - can continue to practice there - as long as they stick to a few conditions. Among them - no profanity or loud music. Conditions Steam Vice-President Pete Shaw says he can live with.
