Good Morning, I'm Kimberly McBroom.
The waiting continues.
Florida's Supreme Court heard arguments yesterday on whether to allow manual re- counts to be added to the final Presidential election totals.
While the nation awaits the court's decision, the hand re-counts are continuing in three Florida counties.
So, far George W- Bush still holds the lead over Vice President Al Gore.
There's no indication how long it will be before the court hands down its decision.
But a new C-N-N USA- Today poll indicates many Americans are willing to wait a while.
More than half the nation says it's willing to wait as long as Inauguration Day, January 20th, for the race to be decided.
Terisa Estacio has an update now from Tallahassee.

The state's Supreme Court must decide whether hand counts underway in several contested counties can be included in the state's final vote tally. Each side was given one hour to make their case.
Up first: Gore's legal team. They argued that disregarding the manual counts would deprive voters of their fundamental right to choose a president.

In a related matter, a circuit court in Palm Beach County ruled out a revote after voters complained about the now infamous butterfly ballot.
Amidst all the legal wrangling, the manual counts continue in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties. Al Gore hopes to pick up enough votes to offset George Bush's lead. But so far he's coming up short. ))

Take a look at the scoreboard for both Tech and ALL Division One schools...
In 1997, 50 percent of Tech scholarship players completed their studies within six years of starting.
In '98, it was 65.
In '99, it dropped to 33 percent.
And in 2000, only 29 percent got degrees in under six years.
At all Division I schools nationwide last year, an average of 48 percent graduated. [INSERT GRAPHIC: 4 YEAR GRADUATION RATES]
Here's how Tech compared to some other schools:
In the last four years, Tech graduated 45 percent of its players.
At UVA, the average was 76 percent..
At Florida State, 59...
And at West Virginia, 48 percent. [Standup] ((MARYA JONES/NEWS-7: Athletic Director Jim Weaver said last week that he did not have time to be interviewed for this story.

Players who get injured and quit, transfer to other schools, or leave to go pro ALSO count against Tech's graduation rate.
Tech's athletic department suggests that a fairer measure is to look at its athletes' graduation rates over a longer period of time.
