High winds are threatening to ground the giant balloons at tomorrow's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Under guidelines adopted after a 1997 accident, the big balloons are grounded if the wind speed exceeds 23 miles-per-hour or the gusts are stronger than 34 miles-per-hour.
The National Weather Service predicts winds from the west at 15 to 20 miles per hour.
A decision on the balloons will be made in the morning.
