Willard says the shopping village will be all brick in 1930's downtown style. But with the Booker T-Washington National Monument just a half mile away, the Park Service is worried pollution will hurt the fish in Gills Creek. They say they'll work with Willard to filter runoff from the project.

The apparent pact of silence between the administration and the N-double-C-P is a far cry from the summer.
Then, director Salim (suh-LEEM) Khalfani threatened civil action if Gilmore declared next April Confederate History Month.
Gilmore has NOT announced his plans on that yet.
On other issues, according to Secretary Allen, the administration agreed to help educate black voters about the registration and voting process.
But the Governor reiterated his opposition to a moratorium on the death penalty that the N-double-A-C-P was seeking.
