The battle over the Florida ballots continues. Gore's legal team plans to contest the state's vote totals after their certified Sunday.

It was the latest sign that Vice President Al Gore won't concede the presidential election without a fight. A spokesperson confirming the Democratic candidate won't give up, even if George W. Bush is certified the winner in the Florida recount.

Well our next step would be to file a contest action here in Tallahassee - to contest the results from Miami Dade.
The announcement came after the Florida Supreme Court refused to order Miami Dade County officials to resume hand counting their presidential election ballots.

"The writ is denied with prejudice to any party raising any issue presented in the writ and in any future proceeding -- no motion for rehearing will be allowed - it is signed unanimously by all 7 justices."
Without the Miami ballots, the Vice President will be hard pressed to catch up to Governor Bush by Sunday's deadline.

The news from the Gore camp came as the ballot showdown moved to the United State Supreme Court. Thanksgiving Day saw a flurry of activity; as the Vice President's lawyers filed their response to a Bush appeal to stop the hand count.

The Associated Press says a Yemeni source close to the investigation believes a composite sketch of one of the suspected bombers in the Cole attack seems to match that of a man wanted for questioning in connection with

U-S law enforcement officials have declined to comment on the resemblance, but say there are some common threads that appear to link the Cole case to the bombings in East Africa.

Officials say at least seven people died and eight were injured during an attack against Cambodia's Defense Ministry early today.
Around 50 un- identified armed men stormed the government offices.
Several men who took part in the attack say they were doing construction work in the capital, and were forced into participating.
They say they were shocked when they were handed weapons and ordered to join an assault.
Officials are blaming the attacks on a little-known underground anti-communist group that calls itself the Cambodian Freedom Fighters.

A five- year- old girl was among those who were injured.
