50-thousand Virginians either didn't vote for a presidential candidate last month or their votes were NOT counted.
The number of "nonvoters" makes up about 2 percent of the nearly 3-million ballots cast in Virginia. Election officials say there may have been machine errors, but most likely people were just expressing their lack of enthusiasm for any of the candidates. Elections Secretary Cameron Quinn is asking registrars across the state to send her totals of these nonvotes in response to questions about the ballot.
